South Central Community Action Programs, Inc., established in April 1965, has grown from a one county program to an agency that now serves two counties (Adams and Franklin) with a staff of over 110 employees.
The agency throughout the years has purchased various buildings beginning with the Franklin County Shelter for the Homeless and leading to the purchase of the Meade School for day care purposes, the Adams Electric Building for its main office location in Adams County and proceeding to 149/151 North Stratton Street for the purpose of the Weatherization Warehouse and rentals for low-income families.
| Acting as an umbrella agency, SCCAP provides a continuum of care through a “one stop” method of service delivery. SCCAP hopes that its constituents can better obtain the resources, support, knowledge and necessary skills to become productive, self-reliant members of our communities. |
