Director of Family Services for our Chambersburg Office (bilingual preferred)

Interested in being part of a dynamic team that is using a coaching approach that is empowering both to families AND workers, while also advocating for and addressing the community-level changes needed to end the cycle of poverty?

The Director of Family Services is responsible for supporting and overseeing the team that provides coaching and support services to families served in Franklin County. The director also oversees the Support Circles initiative. All of this work focuses on whole family well-being and long-term stability utilizing funding to help with immediate needs and tools designed to engage and support people in setting and meeting their own goals and building dreams for their future.   

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of progressive practice experience and involvement leading a team. Demonstrated ability to use a coaching model that motivates, equips, and positions others to develop and grow. Committed to SCCAP’s mission and mission impact. Understands and demonstrates cultural humility and advancing equity and inclusion in all aspects of the work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including having a flexible mindset and an ability to think creatively to transform problems into opportunities

Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 per year based on education and experience (salaried expectation at 36 hours per week). Four-day work week possible.

Benefits: Benefits: 17 Paid Time off days per year, 12 paid holidays, 401K with organizational contributions of 3% of salary with vesting after completion of year two. Individual health, vision and dental insurance with a small employee contribution and a life and disability policy.

Nutritionist/Clinic Nutrition Assistant

Women, Infants and Children Program

with South Central Community Action Programs where our mission is to empower, engage, and cultivate community action, creating innovative and effective solutions to end poverty!

Full-time position serving Franklin County.

·       Do you have a passion for nutrition or community health?

·      Do you have education and/or experience that demonstrates this passion?

·      You will perform direct client services, eligibility screening, risk assessment, nutrition education, and referrals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Will be a team player with strong organizational skills, able to establish and maintain productive working relationships while working in a busy, fast paced atmosphere. Must be willing to travel in service area. Positive attitude required. Bi-Lingual Spanish abilities a plus.

·      A bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics or bachelor’s degree in another health science field with a minor in nutrition is preferred or a Registered Nurse meets qualifications. OR bachelor’s degree in public health or related field may be considered.

·      Benefits include 4 Day work week, 14 Holidays, Vacation, 401K, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Short term disability.

·      Starting Base rate: $21-23/hour
